I was informed of this today via email.

Pope Benedict XVI has recently blessed a cornerstone for Thomas Aquinas College that was from Independent Limestone Company here in Bloomington.

The stone was slated to go right to the Vatican, but evidently they took a detour and stopped in New York City during his visit so he could bless it.
