Daily homily thoughts, 4/5

Today we hear about King Nebuchadnezzar. There were in my mind two big problems with this guy. One, he had a false god. I doubt he really planned to make a statue into a god; he probably just got the thing and obsessed over it and oohed and ahhed over it incessantly, talking about it all the time, spending all his time with it. You know, like we do with cars or television or phones. The second problem was he was a bully. It was his way or the high way. But then God had his way. The rest is history.
