Daily homily thoughts, 3/17

We are surrounded by grace. Jeremiah knew that well and we hear part of his story in our first reading. He had a hard assignment–and no one wanted to listen to him. Those that did listen to him threw him in jail for what he said, or went about other plots to bring him down. But in the midst of it all, he was faithful…surrounded by grace….and that got him through. St Patrick’s feast is today. His breastplate: Christ in front of me, Christ behind me, Christ to my right, Christ to my left, Christ above me, Christ below me, Christ IN me….  Christ is everywhere!  We are surrounded by him, filled with him.  Things will always be okay then.
