Daily homily thoughts, 4/2

A good question for us today: what do we do with the resurrection?  Our Gospel today (Mt 28:8-15) gives us two examples–a good and a bad. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, while they were afraid according to the text, were more than that overjoyed…and they run out to tell everyone.  The guards, on the other hand, “were shaken with fear and became like dead men.”  They let their fear get the better of them.  Both the women and the guards in this text had an experience with the resurrection. The women were wise; they guards were not.  What do you do in response to the resurrection?
