Daily homily thoughts, 5/30

Today Pope Peter says: “”All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of the field; the grass withers, and the flower wilts; but the word of the Lord remains forever.”  Everything fades away in time.  Life on earth is short, a puff of smoke as James said the other day.  We can see life on the world in two ways, it is said–as a tomb, or as a womb.  A tomb way of seeing things is rather sad; this is it, short life and then we die. But the womb is a better way to see life on earth. It’s short, and while we’re here God nourishes us with the sacraments, protects us with his church, gives us graces…and then we are born unto eternal life.
