Today is Tuesday of Holy Week.

In our Gospel we hear how Judas begins to look for a way to betray Jesus.  WWe hear the predictions of Peter’s three denials.

We can easily identify with all that.

But also in our gospel is this line: Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

In sinu Jesu

This beloved apostle — John — he did it right

He did not abandon our Lord

HE wasn’t perfect, but here he rests his face on Jesus’ breast

That is our call
