Today’s Gospel begins with this — Jesus was made known to the disciples in the breaking of the bread
Jesus is the LIVING BREAD … “I am the living bread. … Whoever eats this bread will live forever. … Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me” (Jn 6: 51, 57).
Unlike those of old, we do not have a lifeless god….we have THE living GOD…the RISEN ONE
The Eucharist is Jesus and Jesus is ALIVE!
The EUCHARIST IS ALIVE
From the Catechism: “Under the consecrated species of bread and wine, Christ himself, living and glorious, is present in a true, real, and substantial manner.” – #1415
One thing to know this intellectually…another to see it….
“I asked Jesus about my grandma because she had died before I as born. Then he introduced me to her.” – a thrid grader about what happened in Adoration
Maggie: A monumental thing happened when she was before Jesus….she heard her vocation
