Three lessons from St John, whose feast is today

  • Stay physically close to Jesus…John stays with Jesus at the Cross, he is next to Jesus at the Last Supper and leans in and puts his head on Christ’s chest, in today’s Gospel he’s running to the Lord, etc…stay physically close to the Lord
  • Mary – A the cross, Jesus says, Behold your mother. John would have celebrated Mass for the Bl. Mother. WOW. Mary is there with us, her mantle tenderly around us
  • Friendship with Jesus – Jesus is not some mean judge ni the sky. He wants to be our friend. John writes a lto about the Eucharist, which eh totally sees as a means to make this intimate friendship possible. Talk to Jesus as your best friend
